Everyone,

In observance of Black History Month, EBSCO has made the African American Historical Serials Collection available to researchIT CT users for the month of February.  Here is an excerpt from that database's description web page:

African American Historical Serials Collection

Now compiled and accessible to researchers in one digital collection, this unique resource documents the history of African American life and religious organizations from materials published between 1829 and 1922.  Collection content includes:

·         More than 170 unique titles related to African American life and culture

·         Approximately 60,000 pages of searchable primary source content

·         Reports and annuals from African American religious organizations and social service agencies, as well as African American periodicals

·         Extensive coverage of African American religious organizations, churches and institutions

For more information, see  African American Historical Serials Collection

A flyer is available here:  African American Historical Serials Collection Flyer

I have added links to this database to several researchIT CT web pages, including the home page .  The link appears at or near the tops of the pages.

NOTE:  The database link authenticates via EZProxy.  If you access the database from inside the library, school, or academic institution you will come to a landing page; once in there, click or tap on the link called Black History Month.  If you are accessing the database from outside the library, school, or academic institution you will first need to login with a CT public library card.

We will have access to this resource to the end of the month of February.  I hope you will find it useful.

Best to all,

Eric
