I would NOT recommend the Virco Sage series.  We had problems in less than a year.  The company came to repair them, but they are not top quality chairs.

Subject: Re: [CASL-L] computer chairs - looking for recommendation

We have actual office desk chairs, which are expensive, but we've had them since 2004!  (We got them when we purchased new furniture as part of a library renovation project.)  I know before that we bought chairs from a used office furniture place.  It's worth looking into--quality lasts!

Hi all,

I have inherited a new media center with brand new computer chairs (on wheels) that are breaking constantly. Wheels fall off, the plastic arms crack and break and it's our first year with them.

Looking for recommendations to purchase sturdy, mobile, comfortable chairs for the computers. Can you help? What do you have that works?

Thanks!
