Hello Barbara,

I hope you had a great summer and that you are excited to be back to school!

I am writing to ask if you would be willing to share the Connecticut's Kid Governor program with your network of school librarians again this year? As you may recall, the program focuses on students researching a community issue they'd like to see changed, determining ways they can make a different on the issue, creating a campaign platform, and filming a campaign video for their school's nominee for the Statewide Election - these are excellent opportunities for 5th grade classes to collaborate with their school librarian/media specialist.

Thanks, as always, for your support and help in getting the word our. I hope Jack Jackter will participate again this year!

Best,
Brian
