Good Morning and Happy New School Year!!

Some of you have been asking me about the fall book tag sale and I received the email today!  This sale is a GREAT way to help build up your teachers' classroom libraries (or your personal home library!) for not a lot of money.  There are always a ton of free books and the hardcovers are new and usually only 3.00!!

Hope to see many of you there,
Melissa

Happy 2018-19 School Year!

It’s that time of the year and the last window for me to share books with the world and move them out of my house. As you know, I am BURIED ALIVE under great books.

PLEASE, PLEASE SHARE this with anyone who may be interested. I attached a sign for you to share. As many of you know, the book sales help support delivering books to schools and organizations including Reader to Reader and Links to Libraries.

Books will include:
  • BOARD BOOKS
  • PICTURE BOOKS
  • EARLY READERS
  • NONFICTION
  • MIDDLE GRADE NOVELS
  • HOLIDAY BOOKS
  • YA NOVELS
ALSO, Remember that September 15-ish is International Dot Day and you can find FREE materials to celebrate and help your students make their mark at http://www.thedotclub.org/dotday/.

If anyone is interested/needs a graduate course this semester, I am teaching Multicultural and Diverse Literature (RLA627) focusing on culturally responsive classroom practices at Eastern on Mondays from 4-6:45 pm beginning September 10. You do not have to be in a program to take one class.

May this year be full of opportunities to ignite, delight and cultivate learners and thinkers here, there and everywhere.

THANK YOU!!!!

Susannah
