At North Branford, we also do not have a senior lounge and we too have senior study in our cafeteria where students (of all grades) can get snacks during "X" block. Seniors have the privilege of going to the Senior courtyard area during their assigned study halls. As others have said, if a Senior abuses their privilege, they lose it. Senior study, our last block of the day, is assigned to the library as the cafe is closed. Thankfully, most Seniors go home - another privilege - as we are sometimes assigned to have 70 students or so in that last block!!! We are a fairly quiet, study space (although sometimes students need reminders). As long as students are working whether it be alone, in pairs or in small groups, we have no problem with movement and voice levels at a moderate level. We are definitely not a "hang out".
How many high school's have a senior lounge at their school? and if so, is it located in the Library/Learning Commons? Also, what are the rules/guidelines in place?
Thanks
