I have been working on this for a while, seeking out such books. We have an SEL curriculum, a series of lessons from Second Step, I believe, that the classroom teachers teach. I have been adding SEL as a subject heading in the
catalog record when I buy or notice a book that fits. It's not complete, but below are the ones I have designated SEL. Others that come to mind are Enemy Pie, almost anything by Trudy Ludwig (I was asked to buy anti-bullying books many years ago, and many
of hers are good), Say Something, Martha doesn't share, and Martha doesn't say sorry, Extra yarn (about generosity), Salt in his Shoes (confidence). I have found good lists by searching online for Kindness books, or Sharing books, etc.
