Limited to 100 individuals at each location.
Programs are IDENTICAL and will be linked via Google Hangout for Featured Speakers, Presentations, and Wrap-Up Session at end of the day.
FEATURED SPEAKER: Julie Coiro
Julie Coiro is associate professor in the School of Education at the University of Rhode Island, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in reading and digital literacy and co-directs the Ph.D. in Education program and the Graduate Certificate in Digital Literacy. Julie conducts research and speaks nationally and internationally about the new literacies of the Internet, online reading comprehension strategy instruction, collaborative knowledge building during inquiry, and effective practices for technology integration and professional development. Currently, Julie leads a project to explore how students work together to conduct collaborative online inquiry and her new book, titled Building Deeper Learning: Personal Digital Inquiry in Grades K-5, will be published in early 2019.
