Storytelling, Yes

I’ve been musing over traditional arts and modern technology.  Sometimes it seems that all I do is tech.  And, I love exploring and sharing new technology with kids and colleagues.  But…

I do need in-person contact, conversation, community building, and stories.  I feel balanced and enriched after I attend a storytelling event.  One of my favorites is Sharing the Fire organized by Northeast Storytelling. Surrounded by friendly people, attending top quality workshops and listening to national name performers.  Superb!

Special Deal -It’s great year to give it a try as they have a special “Just for First Time Conference Attendees.” offer.

The first-timers program includes attendance at the keynote on Saturday, March 30, 2019 and choice of any workshop in the 10:30-noon slot.  The fee is $60 for non-members, $50 for members and $30 for full-time students.

I am really excited that this year’s keynote is Bill Harley.  If you don’t know him and haven’t had him in your library he a phenomenal, two-time Grammy winner, storyteller, author, and singer.  He always makes me laugh and sing along.

This year the conference is in Plymouth, MA. Hotel rooms available if you decide to stay overnight. I am attending the whole conference and can’t wait till March!
