Hi all,

For some reason, many of you seemed to not receive this original message from February 14th about the 2020 Nutmeg Lists so I'm sending it again. Plus we have a couple updates!

Good News!  All titles have now been confirmed with the publishers.  The title on the Intermediate list that was tentative is now definitely on the list.

To see the lists:
You'll need to fill out the form (link in original email below) and then you'll get a link to the lists. You will not receive a separate email. This link will have a text list AND we now have the pdf color flyers available which you can download.

Thank you for your interest in the Nutmeg Book Award!

Happy Valentine's Day!
We love all our Connecticut Librarians and are happy to share with you today the TOP SECRET 2020 Nutmeg Nominees!

These lists are available to CONNECTICUT SCHOOL MEDIA SPECIALISTS and CONNECTICUT PUBLIC LIBRARIANS ONLY for planning and purchasing.

Please, PLEASE don't share it with the general public (students, parents, teachers, bookstores, salespeople who aren't sponsors, etc.) until MAY 1, 2019.

If you would like to see the list, please follow this link and fill out the form https://goo.gl/forms/fVlZl72g0KvgRmx92

Once you complete the form, you will see a link to the lists. You will not receive a separate email with the lists.

Thanks to all of you who do so much to make this award the amazing success it continues to be!

A few things to note:
  • There is a name change effective with the 2020 awards: The Teen level award is now Middle School 7-8.
  • The Elementary 2-3 level now focuses on students in grades 2-3 (no longer overlapping with the Intermediate 4-6 level)
  • The Intermediate 4-6 list is awaiting confirmation of one title. This title will be on the list, but please note that it is subject to change.
We will let you know as soon as it is confirmed.
  • The full color flyers will be available by March 1st. Save the link we send you and we will add them to the same document once they are ready.
  • The Elementary 2-3 list contains books available in hardcover, since they are intended as "shareable length titles." ALL the books for the other three levels will be available in paperback on or before May 1, 2019.

The 2020 Selection Chairs want to thank all their committee members (more than 50 Connecticut Librarians and Media Specialists, plus student readers) for the intense hard work it took to read more than 350 well reviewed titles from which these lists were selected.

If you have any further questions, please contact one of the steering committee co-chairs listed below.
