Hello!

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, April 10, 2019 for Library Advocacy Day at the state capitol.

Check out CLA's Legislative Agenda for the 2019 session of the General Assembly.

Use these talking points when speaking with your legislators about the importance of libraries.

Here are more details from CLC:

Our official gathering will be at 2:00 and will probably be about an hour long.  We have Room 310 at the Capitol until 4:00 p.m.

We’ll have handouts available at the CLA table in the LOB corridor that people can stop by and pick up from 8:00 a.m. on.  We’ll be using that as our home base.

I recommend making appointments at any time that day that’s convenient for the person who will be visiting.

Here’s what’s going on at the Capitol and LOB on Wednesday:

If your legislators are members of the two committees that are meeting that day, then it’s a good day to try to get an appointment, outside of the committee meeting time.

Visit our Engage page to register your email to receive legislative alerts tailored to specific library related issues.

Hope many of us can make it!!
