Dear CLC members,
My name is Sarah Briggs. I am a library/media specialist at Jonathan Law High School in Milford, and I am currently serving as the chair of
the Connecticut Library Consortium Board of Trustees. I'm writing because CLC is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated member library staff to join our diverse board. You would be a suitable candidate if:
·
you can represent the needs and interests of your library's type, size, and geographic area;
·
you can think strategically;
·
you are eager to advocate for CLC and Connecticut libraries; and
·
you can commit to actively participate and serve for three years.
I joined the CLC board in 2012, and have found it to be a richly rewarding experience, both professionally and personally.
Here is a link to the March CLC newsletter,
which contains an article I wrote about why I became a board member and why I enjoy serving.
