Please share widely. -----------------
AASL Standards Survey Open April 23–May 8
AASL invites all those involved in the school library profession and school library stakeholders, including school and district administrators and educator collaborators, to participate in a community survey to share insights and experience with the National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians, and School Libraries.
Please participate in and share this research opportunity widely with your colleagues and the school library stakeholders you collaborate with in your buildings and districts and invite them to participate.
A school librarian's roles reach across grade levels and content areas, schools and districts. How well the National School Library Standards and implementation tools are meeting the profession's needs, aligning with stakeholder priorities, and facilitating successful collaborations is important to AASL.
Surveys will be open through Wednesday, May 8. We recommend taking this survey on a computer or tablet, as some of the questions may be difficult to view on a mobile phone. Please click on the link below or copy and paste the address into your Internet browser to begin:
Please be assured that your remarks are confidential. This survey is for research purposes only.
- The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
- The survey tool will remember respondents' IP addresses, allowing you to leave the survey and come back to complete your response before the deadline.
- Individual responses will remain strictly confidential. The information you provide will only be viewed together with the responses of others, and your information will never be shared with a third party.
The intention of this data collection is to involve as many voices as possible to ensure all facets of the school library world and its educational stakeholders are heard. This is the most inclusive phase of research and your best opportunity to share information that will influence materials, resources, and support for the AASL Standards. Your feedback will make a difference!
