I connect these activities to picture books in the library…we read a book, “brainstorm” a project (even though I already know what I want them to build) then give them some time to build or tinker

Subject: [CASL-L] PreK-2 Makerspace

Good morning,

We are looking to do more Makerspace and STEM activities during flex time at our PreK-2 school.  I have the following:

  • Keva Planks
  • Magnatiles
  • Legos
  • Perler beads
  • Snap Circuits

I am looking to supplement what we have with additional maker and STEM materials.  Any suggestions?

Does anyone have experience with Squishy Circuits, Makey Makey or Make-Do cardboard creations at this level?  Any help is appreciated!

Have a great day!
