I instruct our seniors to use Google Takeout every year. Here’s my email: https://www.smore.com/dsxfz

They can choose which types of files to download. It doesn’t take a week, but it takes more than a few minutes.

Subject: [CASL-L] saving senior Google files

Hi folks!

How are people instructing graduating students to save their files in Google?

Just a few files and sharing then Making a Copy to personal Google accounts is fine.

But I have some who want many files (138! LOL). Google Takeout looks nifty--has anyone tested it?

It does look like all files are transferred, which would mean students need to clean out unwanted files. And then the threat of it taking a week to transfer is daunting. By then, I'll be on vacation and not seeing/answering frantic emails.

Thoughts?

Cheers!

Sara
