We have started this at Woodland H.S. in Region 16 this year as well.  We have 4 pillars and performance outcomes.  Students in grades 9 and 10 have begun to select work for their Schoology portfolios that meet each outcome.  They are working on this during our Advisory block- *we meet 20 min every day for Advisory and PoG is being addressed one Advisory day per week.

We are in Region 13 too. We are naming it Portrait of a Citizen but will be working on it more in the near future. Would love to keep in touch about this.

We are just getting started with this in Southington. We should all keep in touch on this. I think it will be really helpful for all our schools.

Hello,

I know it is an extremely hectic time of year. If there are any HS folks who can spare a minute or two I have a quick question regarding your Vision of the Graduate standards - "the attainment of transferable skills, disciplinary/interdisciplinary knowledge, understandings, and dispositions necessary to prepare learners for their future" (NEASC).

How does your school ensure that students are meeting these standards? For example, having students create a digital portfolio with examples of how they have met the standards to be graded by Advisory teachers (an idea that is being floated at my school). Another method might be to have tasks/activities embedded into required classes that these class teachers then grade.

So if you have the time all I am looking for is a sentence about how you hold students accountable for meeting your Vision of the Graduate standards.
