Hey all,

This email was just sent out by another librarian to a few listservs. I hope some of you are able to take advantage of it.

Maybe you have a program that could benefit from an infusion of children's books by African American authors and illustrators. Here is a small grant opportunity that you want to know about! The website lists the recipients since 2003.Three programs per year have received the books. There are just a few more weeks to apply! Do it now!

Underfunded libraries, schools and non-traditional organizations that provide educational services to children are invited to apply to receive one of three Coretta Scott King Book Donation Grants. The grant program provides books submitted for consideration for the Coretta Scott King Book Awards to libraries and other organizations to expand their collections. Each year, three organizations are selected that demonstrate need and potential benefit from receiving the collection. All three libraries will receive copies of more than 80 titles submitted for consideration for the 2020 awards. Applications will be accepted through January 31, 2020
