Good afternoon,
Yesterday we held our first CT Library Census Conversations workshop with U.S. Census Partner Specialist Eva Bunnell at the Waterford Public Library. It was a great session with lots of information for libraries and questions answered.
While the workshop was happening, a new video was just released on how to complete the questionnaire online:

Questions and Answers for Stakeholders Supporting the 2020 Census (shows what libraries can and can’t do when helping the public)

The https://2020census.gov/ site has lots of fact sheets, videos, posters, and other outreach materials to special segments of your populations.
Outreach materials can be found at

Census handouts for libraries
Sample questionnaire
We were reminded about a fun picture book called
Tricking the Tallyman which is about the first census in 1790. We have 2 copies of this book at the Middletown Library Service Center.
If you have not had a chance to sign up for one for one of the CT Library Census Conversations workshops for library staff yet, please go to the Continuing Ed calendar at
https://cslib.libcal.com/ and sign up. They are being held on Tuesdays in January and February at various regions in the state.
Best,
Gail
