Please join us for a great day of “Sharing 2 Learn.” We will be focusing on digital literacy.  Once again this year we are offering TWO locations and FREE registration for your ADMINISTRATOR. We hope to see you there!

In this election year, we are especially mindful of the need to teach students how to find,  evaluate and use information.

Scholastic Library Publishing, 90 Old Sherman Turnpike Road, Danbury, CT

OR

Jack Jackter Intermediate School, 215 Halls Hill Road, Colchester, CT

Limited to 75 individuals at each location.

Programs are IDENTICAL and will be linked via Google Hangout for Featured Speakers, Presentations, and Wrap-Up Session at the end of the day.


FEATURED SPEAKER: Darren Hudgins

Darren Hudgins is the coauthor of a book titled: Fact Vs. Fiction: Teaching Critical Thinking Skills in the Age of Fake News. Darren is a former secondary social studies and career tech education (CTE) teacher, staff developer and coach, and is now director of instructional technology at the Organization for Educational Technology and Curriculum (OETC). In addition to his professional development responsibilities, Hudgins is the OETC events lead for several boutique events including IntegratED Portland | AcceleratED Portland, SPARK and Leading Schools. Hudgins holds an M.Ed. along with dual bachelor's degrees in human development and social sciences.  (https://id.iste.org/resources/product?id=4173)

Please bring or be prepared to discuss 3-5 of your favorite books this year (any age or genre).
