I have had the same experience!!  It has been great.  I am considering ending my audible subscription and replacing it with libro.fm.  It seems to be very similar in cost and I love the idea of supporting local bookstores:)

I have been signed up for this for a few months. The audiobooks are new releases in a variety of genres. There is no limit to how many you can have each month. I have gotten some fantastic books from my favorite authors, as well as books that I might not have normally chosen. If you are a listener, I highly recommend. You will have to fill out the request to join. Then you'll get an email from them. (if I remember right) All you need is the libro.fm app which is free. Your local indie book store will get credit.

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for sharing.  I signed up but it says only the first month free than 14.99 a month.  How do we get the free educator account?  I cannot find any info on this site regarding this...

Good Morning,

I know that many of you enjoy audiobooks so I wanted to share an amazing resource with you (thanks Carrie S. for telling me about it, and I apologize if this has already been posted).

Libro.fm is a service similar to Audible.  The main difference is that instead of being connected to Amazon, it is connected to independent bookstores.  When you sign up, you can choose which local bookstore you would like to benefit from your subscription.

Also, I recently found out that they have a program for teachers and librarians that provides free titles each month.  You can find out more and sign up here.  (You don't have to purchase a subscription to get access to their educator program!)

Please share this with anyone who may be interested!!

Have a great day,

Melissa
