We hope that you are safe and staying well during this unprecedented time. We at Holiday House are committed to doing everything we can to help educators, librarians, booksellers, parents—and most importantly children, cope with the extraordinary situation we find ourselves in.
We’d like to share with you a new Holiday House Resources page. We created this to meet the needs of those who have been looking for ways to engage with and continue teaching children in a virtual environment.
Learn with Holiday House Resources gathers all the educational and fun materials we already have on our website for you. It also includes a sortable list of our titles available in e-book format if you're interested in e-reading. We’ll be adding new materials and resources in the days and weeks to come, including links to videos and other content from our authors and artists who have been reaching out to us daily and are eager to help. Please check back with us as your schedules allow.
This morning we started a new Star Storytime event on Instagram. Join us on Thursdays at 10:00 am ET to hear from a different Holiday House author or artist each week.
Our Resources page also includes Holiday House Guidelines to Creating Read-Alouds. We know many of you and your colleagues have had questions about this, so please share as you need.
Know that we are thinking of you and your friends and families. Please be in touch with resource suggestions or any questions you may have.
Remember that many of your local independent bookstores are there for you, offering book shipments and even personal deliveries. Reach out to them.
Look for the helpers, as dear Mister Rogers told us all years ago.
