Staff is working on a collection diversity audit, piloting a shelflist reorganization (in Destiny; we will have to do the heavy lifting when we get back) that is a hybrid of genrefying and Dewey for the social sciences, and manually adding records for each of our unlimited simultaneous user license books (Gale and ABC-CLIO) to LibGuides (800 books). Cataloging Combined, this is a monstrous undertaking.

In the meantime, the virtual library is open every period of the day, during which we schedule one-on-one conferences with students as well as welcome drop-ins. Also, we are furiously populating our YouTube channel with new lessons and curating them into organized LibGuides

We hope to make this one beautiful some day, but right now it is a hot mess.

I composed a useful blog post about this in my head. And I am guessing that is where it will stay as I will have no time to actually write it between now and when it will be irrelevant. Consider this my post.

Stay distanced and healthy!
Big virtual hugs, y'all!
