Good afternoon!
A reminder to keep collecting votes from your students for the 2020 Nutmeg Book Award. Once you have them all collected, please submit your totals by Thursday, May 7th. We are extending the original deadline 1 week to give all libraries a chance to collect and submit the final votes. It gives a few extra days for the straggler votes.
We understand that voting counts may be lower this year but members of the Nutmeg Steering Committee (a mix of school and public librarians) don't feel extending much longer than 1 week past April 30th will change these results.
We have created google forms that you can copy and share with your students to collect votes for your library. You'll find those links as well as the links for you to submit your total votes here
Please submit by the new deadline, Thursday, May 7th so we can verify the results and announce the winners on or by May 15th.
Thank you for your support of the Nutmeg Book Award!
Please let us know if you have any questions.

It's almost time to start collecting votes for the 2020 Nutmeg Book Awards!
We understand a lot is up in the air right now. At this time, we are opening voting as planned on April 1st.
Below is a link to Google Forms that can be used to collect votes electronically from your students. We're guessing this might be the only option for this year but we will still have paper copies available on our website after April 1st https://www.nutmegaward.org/ You'll need to MAKE A COPY of these forms so you can personalize and share with your students / patrons to collect votes for your library. Please do not share this exact link with voters.
Voting is scheduled to close April 30th but we will consider the state of schools and libraries towards the end of April and extend the deadline if necessary. If we end voting on time, we anticipate announcing the results on or by May 15th.
Once you have closed voting for your library, please tally all your votes and submit ONE response per library for each Nutmeg Award level.
We hope everyone enjoyed all the nominees this year!
For last minute reading, many of the nominees are available digitally through the CT State Library https://iconnct.rbdigital.com/
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Health and Happiness
