I am going to be working with School Library Connection this year as the Topic Page Editor for the READING topic page! I am so excited for this opportunity and the chance to help curate and create content that librarians from all over the country will interact with.
There will be 5 topics throughout the school year and I would LOVE to get your ideas about what you think some of those topics should include.
Some ideas I have brainstormed include:
Media and Critical Literacy (aka Fake News and related topics)
Differentiation with text and digital tools for readers of all ages
Meeting the Needs of Talented and Gifted Readers
Schoolwide Culture of Reading
Developing Culturally Relevant and Diverse Print and Digital Collections
Digital vs. Print--The Great Divide or Better Together?
Please share your thoughts on these and any other ideas you may have on this doc!!! I greatly appreciate the brilliance of this community and can't wait to see what we come up with:)
