We are hybrid, so classes are small (3-10 kids).  I am doing normal book checkout - they use hand sanitizer first, and I limit how many can browse at a time.  For K I normally have a big bin with many compartments that they flip through.  That went into storage, so now I am putting out a limited amount, and they choose.

We plan to start curbside pickup for the Distance Onlys, in another week or two.  I will make a video showing how to use Destiny, and how to place holds.  I don't know about Destiny's SSO - might be the latest upgrade, which we don't have yet.  I will have to create student logins.  Twice a week, the cafeteria workers will hand books (in bags) to parents when families come to pick up lunches.

Hi all - I have not had time to put together any menus or anything like I would want, so last week I took 5 min at the end of each 1st and 2nd grade class and just asked them what they were into. I did make a slide deck for each grade and put 2 kids per slide.

They each gave me a few topics/characters they were looking for and that's what I grabbed for my cart today. It worked really well.

For my Ks, I literally just brought a pile of picture books, spread them out on the carpet, and they chose from there.

For each group, they washed their hands before choosing their books. I also gave them 2 gallon bags to keep the books in.

Hoping I can begin to do more with using Destiny for gr. 2 and book menus for K/1 next week. Fingers crossed.

I know we started a couple of resources about book circulation.  How is it going?  What would you share with those of us, that haven't started yet.
Should we capture this on one of our shared resources?  Just wasn't sure where.

Thanks for the input,
Sharon
