I did not have high enough admin rights to change the settings for students to place holds on books that are in.  My Lms coordinator did. Yet, we will need this turned on.
Here are the steps you will need to do for all of us:
Choose Admin tab,
Choose Access Levels
Look for Access for Patron (students)
Click edit
See the patron tab to the right
Look for "self-empowered" patron access
Look for a checkbox to turn it on
Click Save.

Hi CASL,

I saw a questions posted on one of our listservs and though I would repost it here in case anyone has any insight. Feel free to reach out to Danielle directly if you have any

information.

Hello! I am looking for school media specialists who use Follett Destiny. I am trying to help my daughters’ school media specialist and figure out, on the admin side, how she can change it so that the kids can both place a hold OR remove

the hold from their account. Right now, once the hold is placed, the students can only see it as holds available on their account. In order to remove it, it needs to be done on the end of the media specialist. I emailed their tech support to check for her,

but I am just crowd sourcing here, too!

Thank you in advance!

Danielle
