Jane and All

My district told us the same thing, that we had to remove all extensions from G Meet as it was creating problems.  I took it away at first but later put it back.   No problem with it.

Lisa shared and it works. The same moment I'm reading Lisa's email, a colleague facetimed me to show it as well.  The crazy thing in all this is that the tech person in our building told us to remove any Meet extensions because they are causing problems!  So, I had removed the original Grid one over the summer and never bothered adding it or the Fix one back in.

While Google has made a lot of updates, there are some things that it still can't do and this extension definitely helps.  It lets you still see the entire class while you are presenting. I have two monitors at work so one has the screen I'm presenting from and the other has Google Meet open so I can see all the students during class. It also keeps the class in alphabetical order which makes it easy to track who is there and who you are talking to during the meet instead of the order changing each time.

This issue is literally driving me crazy.  No matter what approach I have taken (using Dualless, creating two windows, using a laptop and an ipad), whenever I am presenting (either a tab, window, or screen), the "You're presenting" text box blocks so much on my laptop screen that I can never see more than 4-5 students.   It is so infuriating.

Any ideas?
