RE: The Boy with Green Hair--The title got me interested!

I found these: Sold as a video by Barnes and Noble for $12.99, and available through Swank Films, if your school purchases that online resource. The book was printed in 1961 but is not available anywhere I checked. I also found an article about the author

We use the QR Code extension and it works perfectly.

Hi all!  Just wondering if anyone has a  favorite QR code reader and/or generator that students use with Chromebooks.

One of my social studies teachers is looking for a copy of Betsy Beaton’s short story “The Boy with the Green Hair” published on Dec 29, 1946 in a magazine called This Week, which was an insert in major newspapers.

I’m not having any luck. Can anyone help?

Subject: [CASL-L] Media Lab Equipment - Ideas and Links Needed
Hello everyone!

Now that our district has done an emergency move to the 1:1 model due to COVID - the computer lab in my library is no longer needed.  I am in the proposal stages of making it over into a Media/Maker Lab.  But I need your help!  What equipment is absolutely necessary for a high school media lab - please send me your equipment lists, vendors, links, etc.

Looking specifically at a 3D printer, podcasting equipment, VR/AR. green screen tech including modes for recording (iPads?), and any other amazing ideas you have.

Thanks in advance for your help!

My lab is currently a French classroom, but I expect to get it back post pandemic. Would LOVE to do what Jen is proposing!
Thanks!

Subject: [CASL-L] Important Update Regarding the Connecticut State Library's RBdigital Collection

Good Afternoon,

As we shared back in August, OverDrive acquired RBdigital earlier this year.

We have been advised that the shutdown of the RBdigital platform will occur no later than December 30, 2020. That means that ebooks and audiobooks on RBdigital will no longer be accessible from the RBdigital app and website. Once this process is complete, the only way to access Connecticut State Library ebook and eaudio content will be through the SimplyE app.

We are working with Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) to migrate RBDigital content over to DPLA to be made available in the SimplyE app. This will take place over the next few months.

We appreciate your patience as we navigate these changes.

Best,
Brad
