Trying hard not to reinvent the wheel to support a teacher with a new assignment, though it sounds like a great way to procrastinate less desirable tasks. Does anyone have an existing list of books?

Read a novel or memoir related to the themes of adolescence, family, alienation, poverty, acceptance, etc.

There is no specific genre but a book that follows one main character is best.

After reading, you will write a book review/analysis that is related to the sociological concepts we are learning in class.

Thanks!

“The best way to measure how much you've grown isn't by inches or the number of laps you can now run around the track, or even your grade point average-- though those things are important, to be sure. It's what you've done with your time, how you've chosen to spend your days, and whom you've touched this year. That, to me, is the greatest measure of success.” - R.J. Palacio, Wonder
