Hi everyone,

Library is a classroom, no loans, no student printer, I am a study hall proctor except for three periods that rotate over a three day cycle.

As Jen said, the school has strict contact prevention protocols in place.

We have not been open to study halls or classes all year. We visit classes via Zoom for instruction. I teach two classes that meet in the library. Our other librarian teaches two classes that meet in the library. Very occasionally a SpEd teacher will bring a student in to sit at a table for testing or 1:1 work. No study halls, no lunchtime, no browsing. Students can reserve books and pick them up.

Our school has taken contact tracing very seriously so students are almost never in a location that they are not specifically assigned.

I'm following this thread closely and as we try to determine how things will change when/if the school opens 100%.

Hi All,

I was wondering if your high school library is open to students visiting during study halls? If so, how's it going?
