Not sure about donating packing boxes, but Costco always has a ton of them for free. You could also check with local book stores to see if you could have the boxes after they unpack their stock. It might take a few weeks until you can collect enough, but at least they will be 'book boxes', so the size will help you not to pack them too heavy. Good luck!
