Kerry- We have a shared Sora library between 7 schools, and we do purchase multiple copies of high-volume titles to decrease wait time. We are relatively new users (1 year in) so we are still figuring out the right quantity for each title, and I do monitor which titles have big waits and consider adding additional copies based on that information.

Hope that helps!  - Jill

Subject: [CASL-L] Questions about Sora
Hello!

We are getting ready to submit our first Sora order. We have 8 elementary schools that will share the collection, and I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to buy multiple copies of popular titles to decrease the wait time for students. Do you buy multiple copies of both OCOU and metered-use books? I’d appreciate any other advice you might share about ordering and getting started with Sora. Thank you!

Tasks Before Apps: Designing Learning Experiences for All Students

When we place tasks before apps we value the importance of identifying goals for students and elevating traditional experiences with digital tools. The purposeful design of tech-rich learning experiences can enhance classroom collaboration and honor curiosity in the context of creation experiences for students. Dr. Monica Burns will introduce five EdTech essentials for examining technology integration to empower students as creators and collaborators. With thoughtful planning and purposeful connection to learning objectives, students can become creators in your classroom as they explore content in any subject area.
