Welcome to our wonderful profession! You're doing exactly what we love to do as librarians--provide a way to connect students (and teachers) with one another! My quick thoughts below. Do with them what you wish!
- Choose a platform that your school district fully approves. The ones you mention are all good. Choose the one that will best suit your goals for the project. I'll throw in Wakelet as an option, too.
- Your project is a great way to talk about internet safety with students (parents, and teachers, too). Will this "yearbook" be in a password protected area or will it be open to the whole web?
- You may need to make some super short videos to show people how to use the platform you choose. Or search the web for already created videos, though personal ones from you might be more appreciated and effective.
- Try to involve some students in the creation of this "yearbook." Get their ideas as to what they'd like to see included.
- Personally, I would stay away from superlatives. These days, I try to look at activities that are as inclusive as possible. Try to connect as many students as possible in positive ways.
- Be careful, this has the power to get HUGE. Maybe that's what you want though?!
