Dear Christine,

Welcome to our wonderful profession! You're doing exactly what we love to do as librarians--provide a way to connect students (and teachers) with one another! My quick thoughts below. Do with them what you wish!

Have fun!

Hello CT's Awesome Librarians!

I would like to do something special for the 5th graders who will be moving on to middle school. There were no school photos and no year book here in Waterbury at Sprague School. Some thoughts I had were do have them complete a bio of some type, class will, etc. but I am first year librarian and have no idea what may go into a 5th grade year book! Some other thoughts were possibly a class superlatives survey on a Google Form?

Then I was thinking about having the students create a Flipgrid to leave a message to the school and future 5th graders? Then possibly post on a class website or Padlet? I have not yet used Flipgrid, nor Padlet, so whatever is easiest would be super helpful!

Any thoughts or anything that people have done before? I would love some other ideas and suggestions!
