for the ALA Virtual Information Session and Membership Meeting (#VMM21)
coming up on June 27th at 1:30pm CT / 2:30pm ET. This annual session includes
reports from ALA leaders and the opportunity to engage in real time with ALA leadership.
As an ALA member, this is also your opportunity to submit a resolution to be voted on during the session – you
can find guidelines and instructions online. It’s your chance
to learn more about the governance of the association and share the experience
with colleagues from your community and across the world –

Center will be offering free career coaching sessions on Wednesday and Thursday,
June 16 & 17, 2021 in preparation for the upcoming ALA 2021 Annual Conference.

After months of advocacy by ALA, we are pleased the FCC has released the rules
that will govern the $7 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund which will enable schools
and libraries to purchase laptop and tablet computers, Wi-Fi hotspots, and broadband
connectivity for students, school staff, and library patrons in need during the
COVID-19 pandemic. ALA will provide detailed information about the Emergency Connectivity
Fund prior to the application window in summer 2021.
