Introduction to CatalogingYou’re now a Copy Cataloger! You sit at a computer, search an online catalog and find a bibliographic record that matches the book (or CD or DVD) in your hand. What rules were used to create that record? What is the logic, the thought process, behind all of that information? Catalog Librarian Steven Bernstein explains the theory and practice of cataloging. This 3-hour workshop is appropriate for copy catalogers, new catalogers and anyone wanting a brief review of current cataloging rules (AACR2 and RDA).
