Hi Christine and all,

Thanks for the opportunity to post about CLC’s furniture discounts! We have contracts with 26 furniture suppliers. They range from full-scale library and educational furniture designers/manufacturers/installers, to specialty/niche manufacturers, to local dealers who sell a variety of product lines right here in CT. Most of them sell armchairs, and they’d be glad to help you find the perfect one.

Here are some resources to explore:

Julie Yulo-Medeiros, CLC’s wonderful Member Relations Manager for schools, is out today (Friday) but if you reach out to her next week she’d be glad to help you get started: jyulo@ctlibrarians.org, 860.740.3042.

Happy shopping!

Subject: [CASL-L] Library furniture vendors

Hello everyone!

I am looking to purchase one or two comfy reading chairs for my library, but I’m not crazy about anything I’m seeing on Demco or The Library Store, where the focus seems to be on modular seating and seating options or chairs without backs. Has anyone purchased a bright cushioned armchair for their library that they’d be willing to share the product page? Or please send along your favorite library furniture vendors so that I can browse! I’m in an elementary school so anything durable is a plus, and anything south of $1,000 is also a plus.

Thanks!
