Good afternoon, everyone.

Please share the opportunity below for teachers to apply for Internet2’s Virtual Field Trip program. Educators from any district on CEN can apply, and we had 14 Connecticut winners last year. The deadline to apply is two weeks from today, Friday, November 19.

Best,

Internet2 Virtual "Field Trip" Scholarship Opportunity

Dear Member Colleagues,

CEN is pleased to announce that teachers in your school district are eligible to apply for a free distance learning “field trip” for their classroom. The Internet2 Community Anchor Program has launched its second annual distance learning scholarship program to give K-12 teachers a free, one-on-one distance learning program for their class through the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC).

The scholarship is open to any teacher at a K-12 school connected to our network. Teachers can apply for the scholarship regardless of whether their school is holding in-person classes or distance learning. CAP will award up to 40 scholarships, and recipients will be chosen in Internet2’s sole discretion.

14 recipients last year were from CT schools. Check out the press release here showcasing their awards.

To apply, teachers must:

·     Visit the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration at https://www.cilc.org/Interactive-Learning/Find-Programs.aspx to select a distance learning class for their students to include with the application form; and

·     Complete a scholarship application form by November 19, 2021.
