The Lt. Governor’s Computing Challenge is entering its final month and we are hoping you can advertise this great opportunity with your distribution lists. Please share what is below along with the attached flyer.
Are you looking to get your students involved in STEM Learning?
All Connecticut students in grades 3 through 12 are welcome and encouraged to participate in the third annual Lt. Governor’s Computing Challenge.
No Experience Needed! [for students or teachers]
This challenge expands students' creativity and exposes them to computing which is a STEM field. With STEM careers becoming more prominent and financially rewarding, there is no better time to get students interested in the field!Challenge Overview
Students can create a great project idea, a partially functioning prototype, or a fully functioning project - either with friends or on their own! They can choose the challenge type that is best for them as they identify an issue and propose a computing solution that embraces the theme of Coding for Good – Inspiring Health and Wellness For All. You can learn about the different challenge types here. Please see the attached flyer for specific support related to the Concept Challenge.
What is Coding for Good?
Students should think about ways to spread a positive message, solve an important problem, or promote healthy relationships. With the power of passion and knowledge, anything is possible!
