Regional School District No. 6 is seeking applications for the following position, effective start date of August 24, 2022.

            Library Media Specialist  -  CT certification required - 062 endorsement

We are seeking candidates that can provide the expertise required to ensure that the library media program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the district. It is essential that this successful candidate can align the library media program with the instructional program and address 21st century skills, including information and research literacy, social media and digital citizenship, and technology literacy (ex. GSuite, SeeSaw). In addition, this role includes an expectation to collaborate with classroom teachers and other specialists for the planning and implementation of lessons and sharing of resources. 

Desired Skills:

Follet Destiny database (or other database experience)
Interactive whiteboard technology
Maker space 
Coding and STEM
Budgeting, purchase orders, and inventory management
Building community partnerships
