Hi All!My students have been requesting her books, so I too investigated and found this excerpt regarding several of her titles straight from Colleen's own mouth:Hiii, i was just wondering what age would you suggest read your books? I know it's about the maturity of the teen, but i wanted to take your opinion about your books in general, and the age group you would recommend to read them. Thank youu.
Colleen Hoover That entirely depends on the book. Some I wouldn't recommend for teens at all. But books like Slammed, Heart Bones, Regretting You, Hopeless, I think are okay for older teens. But books like Verity, Too Late and Ugly Love I'd definitely NOT recommend for teens. I have suggested age ranges on my website. Also, prefacing and emphasizing the older teen audience is helpful for our student patrons.Have a great day!On Wed, Sep 14, 2022 at 7:56 AM Cheryl Robertson <robertsonc@guilfordschools.org> wrote:Good morning, all,I always list the books I'm reading on my email signature. Recently I picked up Verity by Colleen Hoover. It was a really interesting psychological thriller. Once I got a bit into it, however, I RAN to my computer and deleted the title from my email list. It was extremely graphic. I've never read anything else by her, but I would never buy one of her books for a HS library without reading it first.Glad you asked before purchasing!Best,CherylOn Wed, Sep 14, 2022 at 7:43 AM Matthew Cadorette <MCadorette@waterfordschools.org> wrote:_______________________________________________Lots of students are asking for Colleen Hoover.
She's been described (online, so take that with a grain of salt) as 50 shades of gray for YA.
Does anyone have her books? Does anyone NOT have her books for a reason?
Thanks,
Matt
