I LOVE the papel picado idea, Anne! Does it look like this? https://artfulparent.com/more-papel-picado-and-more-hearts/I have been reading a variety of picture books/tales that demonstrate English and Spanish. They allow for great discussion of common tales they know. Good opportunities for comparing and contrasting settings, etc.
- Rubia and the Three Osos
- The Runaway Tortilla
- Tortuga in Trouble
In K, I also read What can you do with a Paleta? I showed them a video of how paletas are made and images from a shop that makes them in CT. They also colored in their own paleta based on their favorite flavors/colors.Hope these help!:) AlyseAlyse CastonguayCreative Memories AdvisorWant to join my Facebook Group? Find ABC Scrapbookers.
