Hi All,

Our HS library simply uses a shared, edit-accessible Google Sheet to all staff users on our domain, with separate tabs for each library space available for reservation, either our computer lab for classes or two available seminar study rooms (up to 4 people each) for use throughout each period of each school day.

Staff can go in at any point and reserve space as far into the school year as they like; it's first-come, first-served. Our library staff then updates our library signage on these spaces each afternoon for the following day, and each morning for last-minute changes.

We used to run the Lab Scheduler add-on for the Sheet to help manage the creation and function of the Sheet, but it stopped working well and support ended, so now we manually create with dates each fall and hide rows one week at a time as they pass, so the most current dates are closest to the top of the Sheet.

It's simple and effective for us, and maybe will be for you, too; good luck!

I concur, we use both...in fact we use SEVERAL

Here is a copy of the crosswalk...to almost everything... we use it in the library.

We also give this to teachers so they can see the Library and Technology Standards THEY cover in a Social Studies, Science or Writing unit.

Hi Stephanie,

We use both because there are differences between the 2. There are things that AASL has that ISTE does not.

Also, and perhaps Barb can speak to this more eloquently, the AASL standards were adopted by the state board of ed last year.
