NewsLitCamp Trust and Credibility

Dear Jenny,

We’re excited to host National NewsLitCamp®: Trust and Credibility on Friday, Jan. 27, as part of National News Literacy Week.

Will we see you there?

This immersive conference is built exclusively for educators and presented by the News Literacy Project in partnership with the NBCUniversal News Group!

This special NewsLitCamp is a free, virtual event led by journalists from NBCUniversal News Group and news literacy experts. It is designed to help educators teach students to analyze news and information with a skeptical — not cynical — eye. The professional learning will highlight:

  • What it means for news to inform us credibly.
  • How persuasion can and should be credible.
  • What it means for a source to be trustworthy.

Sessions start at 8 a.m. ET and continue throughout the day. Sessions will offer the opportunity to connect and share directly with others in small, virtual breakout rooms.

On the West Coast? Don’t worry about missing a thing; a portion of the programming will be made available again later in the day.

Reserve your spot today.

National News Literacy Week (Jan. 23-27) is an annual event highlighting the vital role of news literacy in a democracy and providing free resources to help people of all ages and backgrounds become savvier consumers of news and other information. Learn more at newsliteracyweek.org.
