"Express and Address Your Feelings"

Virtual Educational Program!

On Friday, March 31 at 10:00am, Connecticut's Kid Governor Ellie Mendez will fulfill the first point of her three-point platform: Educate students about the signs of anxiety and depression and strategies to cope with those feelings. She will do this by hosting a virtual education program called "Express and Address Your Feelings." Mental health experts will answer questions from 5th graders about anxiety and depression and what to do when you're having big feelings.

This free program will be livestreamed to the Connecticut’s Kid Governor® YouTube and Facebook pages. It will be appropriate for students (and adults!) of all ages. Please share this email with students and teachers you know!

My daughter was a finalist in her school for Kid Governor and I remember the passion she came home with, talking about her project. It brought out a sense of pride and agency in my daughter that I hadn’t seen before.
