I wish I still had the paper I wrote for a college lit. class.  The assignment was to write a critique of a children's book using one of the various forms of criticism:  Marxist, Freudian, etc.  I chose to do a Freudian critique of "Stuart Little."  If the current book banners were looking for a "dirty book," lol . . . .  (Of particular interest are the many streetlights and the garbage barge.)

Very interesting! I knew about her and her hatred of Good Night Moon because a couple of years ago I read a novel called Good Night June which is a fictionalization of Margaret Wise Brown's life. I was shocked to learn the NYPL didn't have a copy of Good Night Moon until the 1970s.
