In Hamden it’s in the contract that elementary media specialists get five days at the beginning and end of each year without classes. They manage a lot of technology so the days without classes are really needed.

Good morning!
I'm wondering how many elementary school libraries close early in order to reshelve and run inventory. I am extremely lucky that my principal gives me the option to end classes a few days early to take on some of these major projects, but having come from the classroom I also understand that planning time for teachers is precious.
If you have a minute, could you please let me know if your district supports stopping library classes early and if so, how long?
