Please join us to hear about Blue Star Families Welcome Week and how libraries can be involved.

Blue Star Families (BSF) is the nation’s largest chapter-based military and veteran family support organization. Its research-driven approach fosters strong communities with a focus on human centered design and innovative solutions. Since its founding in 2009, BSF has delivered more than $200 million in benefits and impacts more than 1.5 million people each year.

One of the main annual initiatives of Blue Star Families is Blue Star Welcome Week, which occurs at the end of September each year. Blue Star Welcome Week focuses on the 600,000 military families who move to new communities each year and encourages everyone to do their part in helping these families get settled and connected in their new area.

This information session with Leah Love, Associate Director of Community Impact, will include a brief overview of Blue Star Families with a focus on Blue Star Welcome Week and how libraries can get involved.
