Some older titles (that were Nutmeg nominees):  Have they already read "Ghost" by Jason Reynolds?  "Out of My Mind" by Sharon Draper? "Get a Grip, Vivy Cohen?"  Geoff Rodkey's "We're Not from Here?"

And a couple of new ones:  I LOVED "Freewater," this year's Newbery winner.  And I've talked up Christina Soontornvat's "The Last Mapmaker" a few times.

Thx to those who responded to my questions about Kim Bradley's Fighting Words. I appreciate it!

Tapping your collective wisdom again... looking for book suggestions suitable for a joint book discussion between students in diverse districts (Ridgefield and Danbury.) In the first two years of our One Book, Two Schools initiative, our discussions have run wide and deep, centered around Jacqueline Woodson's Harbor Me and Torrey Maldonado's What Lane?

Not too lengthy middle-grade books that feature multiple and diverse student viewpoints are ideal.

Thank you!
Janine
