Our IT Department started to purchase Dymo label makers for our office staff and our IT director very kindly purchased me one last year. We use the durable labels from Dymo and they seem to hold up much better than the original labels. The IT department is using them on all of the student Chromebooks and staff devices as well. I like being able to import the information via a spreadsheet. I have the Dymo LabelWriter 550 Turbo and it is very fast. I usually print about a hundred barcode labels for my books at a time and roll them up in an empty Demco genre label box. This way I can keep the blank spine labels in the label maker and it cuts down on time when needing to change labels out.

I prefer a Brother label maker as I've had no problems with mine that is over 10 years old and I know of others who have a Dymo and if you don't get the right labels for it, they will fade quickly. I don't want fading for spine labels and have no problem with the brother label tape. It is very strong and sturdy.

Do check with your IT that they will load the software for you. I know this update version of my label maker is also mobile friendly I believe. I think you can use it with an iPad or mobile app.

Check with your IT department before purchasing.  It requires us to upload software onto our computers and my IT department will not allow anything to be uploaded.  So...I bought it, but now can't use it because I'm not allowed to upload the software.
