National NewsLitCamp with Report for America. Register now.

Dear Jenny,

There’s no better time than the start of the school year to brush up on your news literacy skills. That’s why we’re excited to announce our national NewsLitCamp in partnership with Report for America!

Mark your calendars for Friday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET for a free, virtual professional development experience focusing on essential news literacy concepts and featuring key sessions from Report for America reporters across the country.

This NewsLitCamp is open to all educators. No matter where you are or what grade level or subject area you teach, if you’re an educator interested in news literacy, we’d love to see you there. There is no cost to attend.

So, how does this NewsLitCamp stand out?

  • We’re collaborating with a partner, Report for America, and their affiliated reporters to make sure we address topics that are most relevant to YOU.
  • We provide participants with a unique opportunity to connect directly with journalists and learn more about how to help students navigate our increasingly complex information landscape.
  • We will be offering an exciting session about our soon-to-be-released NewsLitNation® Professional Learning platform and the accompanying News Literacy Educator Certificate.

Whether you’re a teacher, a librarian or an education professional, this immersive day of learning will help spark new ideas and inspiration, and strengthen your news literacy know-how. Register now.

Questions? Email us at newslitcamp@newslit.org. We’ll get back to you soon.

See you on Oct. 27!

For a future founded on facts,
NewsLitCamp, from the News Literacy Project

P.S. Can’t make the whole day but really interested in a few sessions? We get it — and you are still welcome to register and attend what you can. Reserve your spot today!
