We just got this one last year at the recommendation of our tech dept. So far so good. We are a K-2 school.

We had some older 3D printers we could not use anymore. This was the explanation I was given.
" Due to the ever shifting networking and security landscape we made changes to how we filter traffic to our network to prevent bad actors from accessing our information and infrastructure. As a part of this certain blocks are set in place to mitigate risk. The software XYZ requires to function wants a dedicated connection to a foreign country to function and will not work while the block is in place. We have tested this and it is a risk that we as a department are not comfortable with."

If anyone has a 3D printer they love, please tell me about it 🙂. I'm interested in hearing what makes/ models people are using for general, casual makerspace-type projects in school libraries.
